Oliver 'Power' Grant Dead - Wu-Tang Clan Associate & Wu Wear Founder Dies at 52

Oliver “Power” Grant has sadly passed away.

The Wu-Tang Clan collaborator, who executive produced their albums and launched their Wu Wear fashion line, died at 52, as confirmed by members of the group.

“’Word life, peace to Power and my whole unit’ We couldn’t have done it without him. Wu wouldn’t have come to fruition without Power. His passing is a profound loss to us all. My deepest condolences to the fam. #olipowergrant,” GZA wrote on his Instagram.

A cause of death has not yet been made public.

Oliver was a childhood friend of RZA‘s older brother, and was instrumental in the group’s rise to fame, including helping to raise money for recording sessions and assisting in their record contracts, per LA Times.

He was also the founder and CEO of Wu Wear, the group’s popular fashion line that brought in millions of dollars, which became Wu-Tang Brand and relaunched as Wu Wear in 2017.
