They Prayed Outside an Abortion Clinic and Saved a Baby’s Life
God is answering prayers by saving lives every day during this Lenten 40 Days for Life campaign!
An abortion-bound woman didn’t interact with sidewalk counselors as she visited the abortion facility in Berwyn Heights, Maryland…
…but the expectant mother had more to say on her way out. “She had a beautiful smile on her face,” explained Robert, the local campaign leader. “Our counselor asked her if she chose to keep her baby. The woman answered, ‘Yes!'”
The mom then accepted information on local pregnancy help resources before departing.

The baby was saved just hours before the Berwyn Heights team welcomed 40 Days for Life general counsel Matt Britton to the vigil.
“Great visit–in front of one of the worst and most depressing abortion facilities in the country,” Matt said.
Matt spoke to encourage vigil participants, and then the group prayed and sang hymns.
“Bob, the leader, has done a good job assembling a solid core team that has near-constant vigil when this facility is open,” Matt added.

Conchi was downcast as she stood vigil, having watched three couples walk through the doors of the abortion center.
One of them appeared torn and uncertain, but they entered the facility anyway. Conchi doubled down on prayer, and–before she could even finish–the couple left.
“We’re keeping him!” the woman yelled on the way to her vehicle.
Conchi offered support and resources to make sure the couple know they aren’t alone in welcoming their fourth child into the world.
“I thank God for illuminating their path,” she added. “Please join me in praying for this family.”

God puts the right people in the right places at the right times.
Divine providence brought John out to the sidewalk when a Spanish-speaking woman headed into Planned Parenthood.
After talking with the mom in her language, John accompanied her to the pregnancy help center, where she confirmed that she will keep her baby!
It wasn’t the only powerful conversation had during his vigil shift. Another client agreed to visit the pregnancy help center, and campaign volunteers continue to pray that she chooses life as well!
