In case you didn’t already know, Ryobi is celebrating three decades of its popular 18V ONE+ battery platform with the release of a kitted limited edition all black compact cordless drill (PSBDD02KSB30) and hand vacuum last month.
Since then, the drill has been flying off the shelves at The Home Depot, in part due to scalpers who are buying them up and selling them at a 50% mark-up on Amazon, which is not an authorized official seller of Ryobi products. That said, you can find availability at some Home Depot stores around the country if you're quick and look hard enough.
The drill features a matte black "stealth" color scheme, a departure from the signature bright green color of the brand’s cordless tools. The performance of the drill is the same as its standard compact model, the PSBDD02. It produces a max 450 in-lbs. of torque and a max speed of 1,700 RPM. Both drills have a 6.1-inch head length and 2.1-lb. bare tool weight.

The blackout edition does come with a 4.0Ah battery while the kitted battery for the standard edition is either 1.5 or 2.0Ah, giving the blackout edition a longer runtime. You’ll pay more for the blackout edition, which is retailing for $99 compared to the $69 to $79 retail price of the standard model, due to the larger battery.
