Carrie Underwood Responds to Getting Booed on 'American Idol'

Carrie Underwood is hitting back at negative feedback.

The 42-year-old singer responded to boos from the crowd on American Idol during the Monday episode (March 2) of the show.

The moment came when contestant Mor performed an original song during the “Hollywood Week: Music City Takeover” episode in Nashville, Tenn.

“You guys are gonna boo me. You’re gonna boo me,” Carrie told the audience.

“It’s coming. Bring it on. I love it! Your boos are feeding me.”

She then told the contestant: “In a room like this, for you to bring an original song with that incredible band sitting behind you, twiddling their thumbs, I feel like it was a missed opportunity.”

As the crowd booed, Luke Bryan came to her defense.

“She only won this. She knows. You’re not included in the discussions,” he told the crowd.

“Why don’t they boo you?” she asked as he joked “I don’t know, I’m trying to get booed.”

“You’re not going to boo him?,” she asked the crowd, as they then booed him too.

On social media, Carrie also responded. “Boo me. I don’t care. ???????????? @AmericanIdol,” she wrote.
