Ransom Canyon's Lizzy Greene & Isabelle Fuhrman Among New Cast Additions for Netflix Women's Soccer Movie 'The 99'ers'

Netflix‘s upcoming US Women’s Soccer movie The 99′ers has added several new actors to it’s cast!

Ransom Canyon star Lizzy Greene is teaming with the streamer once again for the new movie, with Isabelle Fuhrman also set to join, according to Deadline.

Lizzy will portray midfielder Kristine Lilly, while Isabelle will play defender Joy Fawcett.

Also among the new casting additions are Julia McDermott as defender Brandi Chastain; Shaunette Renee Wilson as goalkeeper Briana Scurry; Perry Matfeld as forward/midfielder Michelle Akers; and Annabel O’Hagan as team captain Carla Overbeck.

The movie centers on “the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team in 1999, as they defy the odds to emerge victorious in a dramatic penalty kick shootout against China in the World Cup final, under the scorching summer sun and in a stadium filled with 93,000 fans. This monumental win captivated millions worldwide and forever altered the course of women’s sports.”

The 99′ers is based on the 2000 Jeré Longman book “The Girls of Summer: The U.S. Women’s Soccer Team and How It Changed the World.”

Zoey Deutch was previously announced to star in the pic, along with Emily Bader as Mia Hamm, Emilia Jones as Julie Foudy and Alessandro Nivola as head coach Tony DiCicco.
