Squad Update
Two players have been handed retrospective suspensions following incidents missed by the officials during Tuesday’s away game against Boston United.
We can confirm that the FA informed us last night that video footage reviewed after the match led to disciplinary action against Tunji Akinola and Joe Gbodé. Tunji has received a three-game ban, while Gbodé has been suspended for two matches, both suspensions effective immediately.
As a result, both have been removed from today’s matchday squad at short notice.
There will be no further comment on this matter.
They join injured pair Louis Flower, who suffered a muscle injury against Marine, and Josh Kelly, who is sidelined with a broken foot.
Meanwhile, Timmy Akinola only makes the bench following feedback from the player and our sports science team.
