“Yes. Maybe. Maybe,” he told People when asked if he’s spoken to Jason Sudeikis and Hannah Waddingham, adding it felt “amazing” to hear from them.
“I’m so happy that it’s still in the world, and I love that show so much,” he shared. “I can’t wait to watch it.”
“I also have met a fair few of the people involved in it,” Phil added. “And, man, I just think it’s going to be brilliant. I really do. And it’s got plenty of the stuff that people love about the show and will come back wanting. They’ll get that.”
“But, then there’s just loads of new fresh meat, some new blood, and they’re brilliant. They’re so funny,” he continued.
Phil was previously seen on set of Ted Lasso season four, sparking speculation he would appear on screen. However, he was there for a different reason.
“My wife [Eleanor Heydon] directed on this season, which I’m incredibly excited about,” he said on The Today Show last week, via TV Insider. “And so, I got to be a party to what was going on. I got sneak peeks.”
If you missed it, Phil isn’t the only Ted Lasso star who is not returning…
