Kathryn Hahn Is About To Be The Mother Gothel Of Your Dreams In The Live-Action ‘Tangled’ Movie

‘Tangled’ is set to be the next upcoming live action adaptation that Disney plans to tackle, and the cast is already looking great—we’ve got Teagan Croft as Rapunzel and Milo Manheim as Flynn Ryder. And the cherry on top? We now have the casting for Mother Gothel, and it’s better than we could imagine: Kathryn Hahn.

Kathryn Hahn has definitely solidified herself as that witch after taking on the iconic role of Agatha Harkness in ‘Wandavision’ and ‘Agatha All Along.’ As soon as ‘Tangled’ was announced that it was in the works, fans eagerly jumped on Hahn as a fan favorite to play Rapunzel’s adopted mother.

And starting today, it looks like our dreams are about to come true.

Hahn took the reins in the announcement of her casting in the movie, choosing to do it in style: during an outfit-of-the-day video that she posted to Instagram, wearing a Mother Gothel shirt.

“Hey, uh, OOTD, I just found out what that stands for,” she says in the video, stepping back to show off the shirt. “So here’s my outfit of the day.”

While the video doesn’t mentioned ‘Tangled’ or the casting announcement in any other way, the message was still loud and clear: She’d gotten the part.

To make it more apparent, Hahn also changed her Instagram handle to “motherhahn,” pairing it with the bio: “Mother knows best.”

Truly, this might be one of the most insane casting announcements we’ve had in a long time—but we’re so here for it.
