Jon Bernthal & Ebon Moss-Bachrach Seen in First Look Photos for Broadway Debuts in 'Dog Day Afternoon' Play

Jon Bernthal and Ebon Moss-Bachrach are making their Broadway debuts in the new play Dog Day Afternoon and the first photos from the show have been released!

The Emmy Award-winning actors, who previously worked together on FX’s The Bear, star in the play written by Pulitzer Prize winner Stephen Adly Guirgis and directed by Rupert Goold.

Here’s the synopsis: “Step back into the sweltering summer of 1972, New York City—a time when the Vietnam War looms large, Watergate headlines flood the news, and one man’s desperate act captivates the nation. A Brooklyn bank hold up quickly goes wrong, and with each gut-wrenching twist that unfolds, chaos ensues that ignites the city as they follow the actions of a man on the edge.”

The play begins performances tonight, March 10, ahead of an official opening on March 30. Also starring in the play are John Ortiz and Jessica Hecht.
