Eric Dane, James Van Der Beek, & More High Profile Names Left Out of Oscars 2026 In Memoriam

The 2026 Oscars In Memoriam recognized several major stars who passed away in the last year.

Some of those remembered this year included Robert Redford, Diane Keaton and Rob Reiner.

Routinely, during the touching moment, the ceremony pauses to remember actors, filmmakers, and other creatives with photos or clips as their names appear on screen. It’s one of the most emotional parts of the night, honoring the lasting impact these artists had on movies and the industry.

However, fans are noticing that there were several high-profile celebrities who were left out of the annual tribute.

Some of the stars who were not included were James Van Der Beek, Eric Dane, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Robert Carradine, June Lockhart, Bud Cort and Brigitte Bardot.

So far, the Academy has not revealed why these stars were not included in the tribute. We will update this post if we learn more information about this omission.
