Thousands of Toyota Highlander and Highlander Hybrid vehicles in Canada are recalled. A defect in the second-row seat mechanism means seatbacks may not lock properly. This could increase injury risk during a crash. Owners should not use the second-row seats for passengers until repairs are made. Toyota will contact owners with instructions for a free repair.
