Kendra Duggar Arrest: Close Family Source Reveals How She Ended Up in Jail
More details are coming out following Kendra Duggar‘s arrest.
On Friday (March 20), Kendra, 27, was arrested and booked by the Tonitown Police Department in Arkansas on four counts of endangering the welfare of a minor and four counts of false imprisonment, both to the second degree.
Kendra‘s arrest comes after her husband Joseph Duggar was arrested and charged with lewd and lascivious behavior, involving unlawful sexual activity with a minor.
A source close to the family is now sharing more details about Kendra‘s arrest as a spokesperson reveals if her legal trouble is connected to her husband’s.
Keep reading to find out more…“Kendra’s arrest has nothing to do with Joseph’s — although one precipitated another,” the source told Us Weekly. “After his charge, they automatically do a home study if minors live there. They came to her house.”
The insider added that Kendra‘s arrest was related to a home visit.
“Apparently, they had two rooms where the lock of the doorknob was on the outside instead of inside,” the source added. “They arrested her and took her kids for that, saying it’s evidence that she wrongly detains her kids.”
Kendra and Joseph, who have been married since September 2017, share four children.
A Duggar family spokesperson also confirmed to People that Kendra‘s charges are “totally unrelated” to the felony charges Joseph is expected to face in Florida.
“She’s not suspected or accused of participating in his alleged crime,” the spokesperson said.
If you didn’t see, Jill Duggar Dillard and her family released a statement reacting to her brother Joseph‘s arrest.
