Drink driver arrested nearly seven times over limit

The police arrested a 43-year-old man on Wednesday evening for drink driving, nearly seven times over the alcohol limit.

The man, whose final reading was 148μg instead of the 22μg limit, will be taken before a court on Thursday for a remand order.

The vehicle was pulled over in Ayia Anna street in Strovolos and police found the driver in a state of intoxication.

Police investigations are ongoing.
