‘Trash!’ White House erupts with vulgar statement at report on ICE chief’s hospitalization

0

The White House is forcefully pushing back on a report that Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s acting director was hospitalized amid pressure from the Trump administration, calling the claims “inaccurate trash” – and even using profanity to blast the story.

According to Politico, ICE chief Todd Lyons was so stressed from carrying out President Donald Trump’s mass deportation agenda that he required hospitalization multiple times in recent months. The report published Friday also alleged that far-right adviser Stephen Miller contributed to the pressure through frequent and “aggressive” calls with officials.

The White House sharply rejected those claims.

“Despite multiple on record denials and sources refuting their pathetic ‘reporting’ and still ran with this absurd article,” White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson said in a post on X, calling the story “inaccurate trash.”

In a separate post, the official White House rapid response account escalated the criticism, calling it “trash reporting from a trash ‘reporter’ pushing tabloid b------t in an attempt to divide and distract.”

“Todd Lyons is an American Patriot,” the White House added.

Still, the new reporting offered what The Independent described as “an intimate glimpse into the infighting and bureaucratic machine fueling Trump’s immigration enforcement actions, and how Miller has emerged as a key enforcer who is repeatedly singled out and blamed for the fallout.”

Lyons, meanwhile, has denied that any health issues were tied to White House pressure, and the Department of Homeland Security has said he maintains a strong working relationship with administration officials.
