The annual Catholic Good Friday march, the Way of the Cross, comes one day after Quebec government adopts Bill 9, which strengthens and expands the Quebec government’s secularism law, and will require events like this to obtain a special permit.
The faithful are seen here marching through the streets of Old Montreal on Friday, April 3, 2026.
