Drivers skid and crash as wintry mix grips central US before moving east
Road conditions are beginning to deteriorate in the central U.S. as a mixture of snow, ice and plunging temperatures arrived. Forecasts are calling for the dreaded combo to spread eastward in the coming days. National Weather Service lead forecaster Bob Oravec declared: “Winter returned."
