About the project
Judy is a 24 years old Parisian. He doesn’t fit the conventional beauty standards in place in the fashion industry, but we couldn’t care less. This story is just about him, wearing men’s fashion in an unpretentious way. An attempt to spread body positivity and diversity, something lacking in the men’s fashion scene.
Bio
Karla Hiraldo Voleau is a French/Dominican artist photographer, born in 1992.
Within her personal work, she mainly focuses on how women can represent men, while investigating the notions of intimacy and vulnerability. Through performative projects she investigates the status of masculinity and virility in different communities.
She considers her fashion photographs to be an extension of this personal investigation. Instead of totally dividing editorial and personal work, she tries to make them complementary.
