Bishops prod Duterte to name and go after ‘priest who abused him’

Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte was yesterday urged by Catholic prelates to speak up and reveal if indeed he was allegedly sexually abused by a priest when he was young. In an interview, Manila Auxiliary Bishop Broderick Pabillo said Duterte should tell his story as this is also what the Pontiff has been asking alleged victims of priests to do for it to be properly investigated. “If a sin has been committed against him he should speak out,” he said in an interview. “I pity him if he has long been carrying this with him,” added Pabillo.
