Van Avermaet wins Tour de France stage 13, Froome retains lead

RODEZ, France (Reuters) - Belgian Greg van Avermaet of the BMC Racing team won the 13th stage of the Tour de France, a 198.5-km ride from Muret on Friday. Slovakian Peter Sagan of Tinkoff Saxo finished second and Belgium's Jan Bakelants took third place for AG2r-La Mondiale. Team Sky's Chris Froome of Britain retained the overall leader's yellow jersey.
