Letter: James Island fails to live up to promises
One of the two reasons the Town of James Island was founded was to enable residents to receive their fair share of the Charleston County Local Option Sales Tax (LOST) refunds. When Mary Clark was mayor, the town accomplished this by sending checks to its taxpayers.
