Kyrgyz and Tajik presidents arrive in Astana

Tengrinews.kz - Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov and Tajik President Emomali Rahmon have arrived in Astana.

According to the press service of the Tajik leader, Rahmon was welcomed at Astana International Airport by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektanov and other officials.

The press service of the Kyrgyz president stated that Sadyr Japarov was greeted by Deputy Prime Minister Galymzhan Koishybaev and other officials at the airport.

Earlier, it was reported that the presidents of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan flew to Astana. Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Sadyr Japarov, and Emomali Rahmon will participate in the "Central Asia + Germany" summit, where discussions will focus on strategic cooperation and partnership across various sectors, including trade, economic collaboration, and joint investment projects.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz also recently arrived in Astana for an official visit, where he and President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held bilateral talks.
