Le nouvel entraîneur du FC Barcelone, Hansi Flick, a décidé de mettre un terme aux recherches pour un nouveau milieu de terrain. Après avoir observé les jeunes Marc Casadó et Marc Bernal, il estime que le club est bien couvert pour l’avenir à ce poste.
Depuis le départ de Sergio Busquets, Barcelone a tenté de combler le vide, notamment avec Oriol Romeu, mais sans succès. Des pistes estivales, comme Joshua Kimmich et Mikel Merino, n’ont pu aboutir en raison des difficultés financières du club. Flick a donc choisi de se tourner vers les talents de La Masia.
Malgré les intentions de la direction de recruter en janvier, notamment avec des cibles comme Roméo Lavia et Carney Chukwuemeka de Chelsea, l’Allemand préfère s’appuyer sur les jeunes et expérimenter avec des options internes, comme Gavi ou Frenkie de Jong.
