In the comments under the post, viewers praised the author for capturing such atmospheric scenes.
"Such beauty, it takes your breath away," "Amazing. They’re flying to warmer places," "Superb, beauty, mesmerizing,” noted people in the comments.
Azamat Sarsenbayev said that he filmed the footage on October 12. According to him, the moment was captured at Lake Karakol, located about 10-15 kilometers southeast of Aktau in the Mangystau region.
“The footage was shot using a drone. As far as I know, the water here is warmer than in the sea, so many migratory birds gather here. From here, they fly on to warmer places. It seems that only swans stay behind to winter here. Right now, you can also spot ducks and even a few flamingos,” he said.
The videographer believes that media attention has helped reduce littering in the area, though trash is still frequently found.
“If you walk along the shoreline, you can find a lot of shotgun shells. But thanks to increased media attention, fewer people are littering here, and the nearby resorts have become less exploitative. The lake is under the protection of the Forestry and Wildlife Committee staff. I think it would be great to develop ecotourism here. I hope such a beautiful place is preserved. Building observation towers and trails could help. The key is for people to treat this natural beauty with care,” Sarsenbayev added.
