Almaty metro decorated for the New Year

Tengrinews.kz – Almaty metro decorated in anticipation of the New Year, according to press service of Almaty Akimat.
The stations and carriages are decorated with festive illuminations and decorations. Each station has Christmas trees decorated with themed toys.

“We want every metro ride to be a little more festive for our passengers. The decorations at the stations and in the carriages are designed to give people a sense of a fairy tale and set them in a festive mood,” the press service of the metro noted.

As noted by the Loval Government Administration, some carriages have holiday corners where passengers can take souvenir photos.

Earlier, details have been revealed about the time and location of the New Year's fireworks in Almaty. According to the press service, the fireworks are scheduled to begin at midnight on the night of December 31, 2024, transitioning into January 1, 2025. The event will be held at Astana Square.
