Ce lundi, Daniel Tschofenig a mis fin à une disette autrichienne de plus de 10 ans en saut à ski.
L'Autriche a vibré lundi en remportant la prestigieuse Tournée des quatre tremplins grâce à Daniel Tschofenig, qui signe à 22 ans la plus grande victoire de sa carrière. Avec un total de 1.194,4 points, Tschofenig devance de peu ses compatriotes Jan Hörl (2ème) et Stefan Kraft (3ème), ce dernier étant passé très près du titre avant un saut moins performant. C'est la première victoire autrichienne dans cette épreuve depuis 2015, marquée par le triomphe de Kraft.
Tschofenig a remporté deux des quatre concours de la Tournée, celui de Garmisch-Partenkirchen et le dernier à Bischofshofen. "C'est incroyable, tout s'est mis en place lors de cette deuxième manche", a déclaré le jeune vainqueur. La Pologne et le Japon, dominants ces dernières années, ont laissé la place à l'Autriche, qui monopolise pour la troisième fois le podium. Côté français, Valentin Foubert termine 29ème du classement final.
