Nissan’s Oliver Rowland delivered a spectacular performance at the Mexico City E-Prix, Round 2 of the 2025 Formula E World Championship, snatching victory with a series of breathtaking late overtakes.

Starting fourth after a qualifying mistake, Rowland bided his time, activating his final ATTACK MODE late in the race. Despite a Safety Car interruption, the Yorkshireman unleashed a stunning charge in the closing laps.

On Lap 31, Rowland executed three masterful overtakes in half a lap, dispatching reigning champion Pascal Wehrlein, Season 9 winner Jake Dennis, and leader Antonio Felix da Costa with precision.

Rowland crossed the line to claim his maiden win in Mexico and end Porsche’s four-year dominance at the circuit.

Da Costa held off teammate Wehrlein for P2, while Dennis settled for fourth after earlier leading the race. The DS PENSKE duo of Jean-Eric Vergne and Maximilian Guenther were thwarted by a Safety Car, finishing fifth and sixth.

Rowland’s victory propels him to second in the Drivers' standings, trailing da Costa by 12 points. Porsche remains atop the Manufacturers' table, edging out Nissan by four points. The championship now heads to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, for a double-header under the lights on February 14-15.
