Kazakh airlines resume flights according to their regular schedule

Tengrinews.kz – Kazakhstan has fully completed the software update for Airbus aircraft.
This was reported on Saturday, November 29, by the press service of the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Transport.

“According to the directive issued by Airbus on November 28 of this year, the software update for Airbus aircraft operated by Kazakhstani airlines has been fully completed,” the press release stated.

It was noted that all Airbus aircraft now fully comply with the required standards, and their operation continues as normal.
The Civil Aviation Committee, the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan, airline engineering teams, and airports across the country promptly carried out all necessary tasks, ensuring uninterrupted functioning of all aviation processes and maintaining high safety standards, the statement added.
Meanwhile, Air Astana announced that the engineering teams of the group have fully updated the software on 38 Airbus aircraft.

“The Air Astana Group informs that the software update on Airbus aircraft has been completed, and the airlines are returning to their regular flight schedules,” the statement said.

As a reminder, on November 28, Airbus ordered all airlines to urgently update the software controlling the aircraft’s elevator system. The update had to be completed before each aircraft’s next flight, which led to delays of Airbus flights operated by Air Astana and FlyArystan.
Background: The directive was issued following an incident involving an Airbus A320, during which the elevator briefly malfunctioned while on autopilot, causing the aircraft to begin descending.
