S.C. lawmakers to consider raising high school dropout age from 17 to 18

A simple plan to decrease South Carolina’s high school dropout rate by raising the minimum dropout age from 17 to 18 is picking up steam as state lawmakers prepare to return to the Statehouse on Tuesday.
