Dow's down, but S.C. is up

The stock market’s had a rough start to the new year, largely due to turmoil in the Chinese financial sector. Though the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained nearly 118 points on Tuesday, it’s still 5 percent lower than the closing level on Dec. 31.
