Drone crashes in western Kazakhstan: what police are saying

Tengrinews.kz — Photos and information have been circulating in messengers claiming that a drone crashed near a village in the West Kazakhstan Region. The information was confirmed by the region’s police department, citing Moi Gorod.

According to police, the find was recorded in the Akzhaik District. It concerns objects that visually resemble fragments of an unmanned aerial vehicle.

The department clarified that the object was discovered outside populated areas. An inspection is currently underway, and specialists are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.

Similar cases have happened before

Earlier, cases of drone crashes had already been recorded in the West Kazakhstan Region. For example, in March 2025, fragments of an unidentified UAV were found in the Zhanibek District. At that time, the regional police department also reported that inspection procedures were being carried out.

In October 2025, debris resembling drone fragments was also found in the Burlin District of the West Kazakhstan Region.
