Tokayev signs several laws
Tengrinews.kz — On March 26, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed three laws, according to Akorda.
One of them is the Law on Ratification of the Agreement on a Harmonized System for Determining the Origin of Goods Exported from the Customs Territory of the Eurasian Economic Union.
This document optimizes the mechanisms for regulating exports from EAEU countries to third-country markets. In particular, it provides for the use of unified approaches in determining, certifying, and confirming the origin of goods. The agreement also regulates the digitalization of procedures through the creation of electronic verification systems. This will allow the competent authorities of third countries to promptly verify the authenticity of certificates in real time, which will significantly simplify access for Kazakh goods to foreign markets.
The Head of State also signed the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Ratification of the Protocol on Amendments to the Agreement on the Principles and Approaches for State Control (Supervision) over Compliance with the Requirements of the Technical Regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union for the Purpose of Harmonizing the Legislation of the Member States of the Eurasian Economic Union in This Area, dated February 16, 2021.
In addition, the President ratified the Agreement on the Establishment of the Civil Protection Mechanism of the Organization of Turkic States. This agreement is aimed at creating a joint mechanism for responding to natural disasters and emergency situations, as well as providing voluntary assistance to an affected state.
Assistance is to be provided at the request of the affected state during an emergency and on a voluntary basis. The Civil Protection Mechanism of the Organization of Turkic States will be established as an international organization operating as a sectoral body on emergency situations within the Organization of Turkic States.
The texts of the laws will be published in print.
