Deportations in Germany doubled in 2015, but still huge backlog

BERLIN (Reuters) - The number of deportations in Germany nearly doubled to more than 20,000 in 2015 and is expected to rise further this year as the government plans measures to speed up asylum procedures and facilitate deportations, the interior ministry said on Wednesday.
