Tokayev highlights Kazakhstan's key advantage for investors

Tengrinews.kz – President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said Kazakhstan's political stability and renewed constitutional framework provide the strongest foundation for attracting foreign investment, speaking at the 38th plenary session of the Foreign Investors' Council in Astana, according to Akorda.
Addressing the council, Tokayev said Kazakhstan remains firmly committed to sustainable development and stressed the importance of adapting to rapidly changing economic and political conditions.

"Despite an unfavorable external environment, Kazakhstan's economy grew by 6.5 percent last year. The country's gross domestic product exceeded $300 billion. Kazakhstan intends to maintain its leadership in Central Asia in terms of attracting investment. Net accumulated foreign direct investment has surpassed $150 billion, accounting for nearly 70 percent of all investment in the region. The foundation of these economic achievements is our political stability. Following a historic nationwide referendum, we adopted a new Constitution, which has come to be recognized as the People's Constitution. Symbolically, the new Basic Law entered into force just a day before today's meeting. The updated constitutional provisions provide the highest possible level of protection for investors," the President said.

Tokayev noted that Kazakhstan has established a modern institutional environment designed to attract international businesses.
He also highlighted the launch of the National Digital Investment Platform, a one-stop-shop system aimed at simplifying investment procedures.

"The Investment Headquarters ensures prompt decision-making and comprehensive government support for investors. Alongside institutional guarantees, we offer businesses practical long-term incentives. Foreign entrepreneurs can now benefit from our Altyn Visa program, which provides tax incentives and simplified migration procedures. At the same time, we have no intention of stopping here. There is still much work ahead," Tokayev said.

The President added that the world has entered a new era of technological transformation, with artificial intelligence emerging as one of the key drivers of global development.
