Heat up to +42°C and sharp cooldown: weather in Kazakhstan set to change

Tengrinews.kz — Kazhydromet forecasters have issued the weather forecast for August 13, 14 and 15.

According to the forecast, weather conditions in Kazakhstan over the coming days will be influenced by both a cyclone and an anticyclone. Rain, thunderstorms and stronger winds are expected across much of the country, while intense heat of up to +42°C will persist in the south.

Rain, thunderstorms and hail

From August 13 to 15, a northern cyclone will move from west to east across Kazakhstan. It will bring rain, thunderstorms and stronger winds to a number of regions. Hail is also possible in some areas.

By August 15, an anticyclone will begin moving in behind the cyclone. It will bring an end to precipitation and lower temperatures in the western regions of the country.

Heat to persist in the south

Southern regions, however, will see different weather conditions. Southerly air flows will maintain predominantly dry weather and high temperatures. During the day, intense heat of +37°C to +42°C is expected in southern Kazakhstan.
