Sleet and heat up to +35°C: the last days of summer will surprise Kazakhstan

Tengrinews.kz — Kazhydromet forecasters have issued the weather forecast for August 25, 26 and 27.
According to the forecast, the weather in Kazakhstan will remain unstable in the final days of August. Rain and thunderstorms are expected in northern and eastern regions, with heavy precipitation, hail and squalls possible in some areas. At the same time, warm weather will persist across much of the country, with temperatures reaching up to +35°C.
Where rain and thunderstorms are expected
From August 25 to 27, weather in northern and eastern Kazakhstan will be influenced by a cyclone and associated atmospheric fronts, bringing rain and thunderstorms. Heavy rain, hail and squalls are possible in some areas.

“In the mountainous areas of the east and southeast of the country, rain may turn to sleet during the night on August 26–27,” the statement said.

Meanwhile, western and southern Kazakhstan will be under the influence of higher atmospheric pressure. Mostly dry weather with no precipitation is expected there.
Heat up to +35°C
Despite the precipitation, above-normal temperatures will persist across much of Kazakhstan.
In the final days of summer, temperatures are forecast to reach:

+25°C to +32°C in the north;+25°C to +35°C in central and southern regions;in the east, temperatures will rise from +16°C…+24°C to +20°C…+31°C.
