Almaty’s First President Park fully closed to visitors: what will change

Tengrinews.kz — The First President Park in Almaty has been temporarily closed to visitors as reconstruction work continues, according to the city’s Public Spaces Development Department.
What will change in the park
Access to the entire park has been restricted for the duration of construction and installation work.

The reconstruction will include upgrades to:

engineering infrastructure;the road and pedestrian path network;landscaping and public amenities;greenery and planting.

The work will therefore affect both the park’s infrastructure and its public spaces.

Where to walk nearby
While the park is being renovated, Almaty residents and visitors can use the nearby Flow Park. It can be reached via the pedestrian bridge connecting the surrounding areas.
The completion date of the reconstruction and the reopening date of the First President Park will be announced later. Residents and visitors are advised to take the temporary closure into account when planning walks.
