RPT-Negative rates in Europe offer little hope for Japan

FRANKFURT, Jan 29 (Reuters) - Japan's move to cut interest rates into negative territory will do little to lift it out of the doldrums, economists said, pointing to the modest impact of similar steps by European countries on their weary economies.
