11-hour brownouts set today in Pangasinan

(Photo courtesy of Google Maps) According to NGCP, power interruption will be from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the service areas of distribution utilities Central Pangasinan Electric Cooperative (Cenpelco) Gulig and Bari Substations and the Pangsinan Electric Cooperative III (Panelco III) Old Uradenta Station. NGCP also noted that parts of CENPELCO, PANELCO III and Dagupan Electric Corporation (Decorp) will also experience brownouts in the morning and afternoon to facilitate load transfer. According to NGCP, the power interruption was scheduled to accommodate the request of Private Infra Development Corporation (PIDC), contractor of the Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX), to construct selected transmission line structures and to replace selected wood poles and line hardwares along the San Manuel-Sapang 69kV line segment. The NGCP assured that normal operations will immediately resume after work completion.
