Laoag City, Ilocos Norte — Classes of the state universities and colleges (SUCs) in the Ilocos Region for academic year 2016-2017 will start in August following the approval by the members of the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) of Region 1. Lawyer Benjamin P. Sapitula, the PASUC chairman and president of the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU), said the classes of the six SUCs in Region 1 will simultaneously start on Aug. 8, 2016.
