National builder chief in Charleston says skilled labor shortage stunting new homes recovery

A steadily growing economy has helped home builders rally from the depths of the late 2000s recession, but the industry continues to lack steam as top-notch workers left the business and haven’t returned, a national trade group’s top officer says.
