COLUMBIA — When operations ceased at the Charleston Naval Shipyard 20 years ago, thousands lost their jobs. Since then, some have lost their lives from asbestos exposure, and lawmakers are fighting to stop new roadblocks that could prevent other victims from seeking justice.
