B’laan bandits occupying large areas in Mount Matutum, South Cotabato have laid down their rifles to pick up the “poop” of coffee bean eating civet cats locally called “musang.” Fred Fredeluces, chief executive officer of Green Tropics Coffee, disclosed that many B’laan tribesmen who used to carry firearms have decided to join the increasing number of fellow tribesmen who have been earning additional income out of picking civet poops. Civet poops usually contain coffee beans that are processed into one of the most expensive and delicious coffee brews worldwide.
