Administration presidential candidate Mar Roxas reminded yesterday Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte that receiving cash gifts, especially millions of pesos, is a violation of the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Law. Roxas was referring to the cash gifts which Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte admitted to have received, which is part of an alleged bank account with at least P2.4 billion which was exposed by Senator Antonio Trillanes IV recently. The more Duterte keeps the Filipino people in the dark as to the source of the money and the transactions in the bank accounts, the more that suspicions will grow that the millions or billions of deposits in his accounts are indeed dirty money, Roxas said.
