With special elections scheduled today in some areas in the country, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) expects the proclamation of the 12 winning senators in the May, 2016 polls to take place next week. Comelec Chairman Andres Bautista said the proclamation will have to take place next week as some areas will still have special elections, which involve some 18,000 to 19,000 votes.
