UNC Wilmington came into the Colonial Athletic Association baseball tournament as one of the top hitting teams in the nation. The Seahawks were seventh as a team in hitting (.323) and third in home runs (79). Wilmington had four batters in their starting lineup that had smacked double-digit home runs this season.
