Five persons were wounded in a foiled attempt by armed men to abduct a lady doctor in Sulu Friday afternoon. Authorities said among those wounded were two soldiers, one policeman, a civilian, and the lady doctor identified as Marian Lao. Police identified the other victims as Marine Cpl. Omar F. Somcio, Marine PFC Marlon M. Banayag, SPO4 Tubadjir Mandangan, and Radem Maman, 23. Investigation showed the incident occurred around 2:40 p.m. on Scott Road, Barangay San Raymundo, Jolo town in Sulu. Maj.
