File -Davao City (MB:Keith Bacongco) DAVAO CITY – The Davao City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) has alerted residents living along the coast of the Davao river to watch out for any rise in water levels, as the country is anticipating a low pressure area approaching Eastern Samar. The CDRRMO gave the advisory as the LPA was spotted 465 km east of Borongan, Eastern Samar. According to the disaster risk office, the Davao, Talomo, and Lipadas Rivers are likely to be affected in case of heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours. Forecasts place light to occasionally moderate rains during the LPA. “People living near the mountain slopes and in low-lying areas and river banks to take precautionary measures,” the forecast said.
