Seeking earlier state date, solicitor says Dylann Roof federal trial lacks 'relevance'

In seeking to try Dylann Roof first, Charleston’s top state prosecutor argued Tuesday that a federal trial would have little consequence on Roof’s fate because of that government’s "apparent unwillingness" to execute people.
