Just the three competitions scheduled this week but only two played due to the odd shower!!

MEN’S Competition Tuesday January 28th

Sun beckoned but did not appear, A mix of holes played from 5,6 9 and possibly 14 for the courageous. Competition cancelled.

MEN’S Competition Thursday January 30th

Normal weather conditions prevailed with the sun making an appearance, but somebody forgot to switch the heating on early doors. Twenty-six members competed in the Thursday competition with just two players scoring better than their handicap. The course was not yielding a lot, the wind picked up and the back nine proved quite difficult. However, it did not stop Paul Ingebrigtsen winning with 39 points, two points ahead of Toon van Berlo.The two’s had twins today with Jim Jenet and Ciaran both delivering the same.

3 rd – Jim Jenet – 36 pts
4 th – Patrick Holmes- 35 pts

With a relatively small field of 27 players scoring was very difficult with nobody making handicap. Congratulations to Ciaran Lally finishing with 35 points, beating Jim Jenet with the same score on handicap.There is still one event to go and still all to play for.

Course Report

A light tining on greens and top dress tees.
Topdressing of greens.
Treat fairways & rough (Bermuda grass) for poa.
Greens will also be sprayed with a phyto-fortifier.
All the above subject to the weather.
