F1i's Driver Ratings for the 2024 Abu Dhabi GP

Sergio Perez, Red Bull (Retired, lap1): 6/10
Sergio Perez's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix ended as early as the opening lap following a collision with Valtteri Bottas in which he had little responsibility. Still, it was a distressing end for the Mexican that somehow reflected his equally catastrophic season. All eyes are now on Red Bull's top brass and on whether they will put the beleaguered driver out of his misery, once and for all.

Franco Colapinto, Williams (Retired, lap 26): 6.5/10
While Franco Colapinto put together a relatively clean final weekend with Williams, there was little to write home about for the young Argentinian. He never managed to gain any ground after the start but to his detriment, a punt up the rear end by McLaren's Oscar Piastri likely didn't help his cause that ended after 26 laps with an engine issue. Colapinto will have felt the sting of missing out on one last opportunity to stake his claim for an F1 return, now likely delayed until 2026.
